QATAR ACHIEVES MILESTONE IN ENERGY DIVERSIFICATION: HH THE EMIR INAUGURATES LAFFAN’S REFINERY, one of the world’s largest condensate refineries, at a magnificent ceremony held at Qatargas headquarters in Ras Laffan on 6th Aril 2010. Operated by Qatargas, the Laffan Refinery, which started production in September 2009, is one of the largest condensate refineries, with a processing capacity of 146,000 barrels per stream day (bpsd).

Qatargas delivers first Q-Max cargo to Japan
100713 Moza Japan lowQatargas has delivered its first Q-Max cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Japan.  The cargo was delivered to Chubu Electric’s Chita Terminal by the Q-Max LNG carrier “Mozah.”
